Pilot Printing, the printing ministry that’s part of iCatholic Media and the Pilot Media Group in the Archdiocese of Boston, has been selected to produce the official prayer cards and other commemorative print materials for the Beatification of Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen on September 24.

The collaboration began earlier this year when Pilot Printing reached out to the Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen Foundation to explore ways to support the historic celebration. Following several conversations with Foundation leadership and the Diocese of Peoria, Illinois, the Foundation invited Pilot Printing to serve as the official printer for the Beatification prayer cards and additional materials, including banners, portraits, and bookmarks.

As part of the agreement, Pilot Printing will provide prayer cards for the Beatification celebration in St. Louis, as well as events in Peoria during the days that follow, serving as an in-kind sponsor of the Beatification.

Because they will not unveil the official Beatification portrait of Archbishop Sheen until the Beatification Mass on September 24, all materials currently displayed use a placeholder image. UPS will deliver orders following the Mass using the official image, arriving at parishes and organizations after September 24.

"For years we've been privileged to help dioceses, parishes, and Catholic organizations spread the Gospel through print. To now play a role in preserving the legacy of Archbishop Fulton Sheen is both humbling and exciting."

A portion of every purchase of the commemorative materials will benefit the Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen Foundation and support its ongoing mission of evangelization.

Reservations for the commemorative materials are now being accepted through Pilot Printing, with fulfillment beginning after the Beatification.

“People may ask how a printing ministry in the Archdiocese of Boston ends up producing the official materials for an international Beatification,” said Strong. “The answer is simple: I sent an email. Then another. Then a phone call. God opened the doors. Sometimes all He asks is that we knock."
